Copy content from Google Docs to a HelpSpace Docs Article

Sometimes you write an article in Google Docs before copying it to an HelpSpace article. Here is a guide to what you need to pay attention to when pasting content to HelpSpace.

  • Go to your Google doc, select the complete content (text and images), and copy it.

  • Go to your HelpSpace Docs site, create a new article, and paste the content.

If you pasted images, the image references to Google. In order to save it in HelpSpace, the following steps are necessary:

  • Go to the newly created article.

  • Click the right mouse button on the image and select "Copy image".
Do not use CTRL+C or CMD+C.

  • Click under the image with the right mouse button and select "Paste".
Do not use CTRL+V or CMD+V.

  • The image gets uploaded to HelpSpace, recognizable by the purple highlighted text "Uploading Image".

  • There is a slight loss of image quality here ⚠️
