Connecting a Channel via SMTP

With HelpSpace, you can also connect a channel to your email inbox via SMTP. The advantage of this method is that no DKIM and SPF entries need to be made with your DNS provider.

How to set up the SMTP Channel

  1. Go to:
    Settings → Channels → Channel and click “Create Channel”.

  2. Enter Email Address and Name:
    Enter the email address and the channel name.

  3. Select the SMTP Option:
    Instead of configuring DNS settings for DKIM and SPF, click on “Use SMTP instead of DNS verification to send emails” at the bottom of the page.

  4. Configure SMTP Settings:
    Enter the following information:

    • SMTP Host

    • SMTP Username

    • SMTP Password

    • Port

    • Security (SSL/TLS)

  5. Create Channel:
    Confirm the settings to create the channel.

How to modify the SMTP settings of an existing channel

  1. Go to:
    Settings → Channels → Channel and click “Change Config”.

  2. Edit SMTP Settings:
    Click “Next” to access the SMTP configuration page and make the necessary adjustments.
