Individualize your site

To navigate forward and backward, click on the arrow-buttons ← and → on the bottom or on your keyboard. Alternatively, click on the purple circles to go to the next step.

Each site has its settings. There are many options to configure and style your site.

Basic Settings

Configure your domain name and visibility.

Description

Site Visibility

Turn on to show this site in public (button is green). If the site is turned off (button is grey), then the user has to login to see the content.

Site Name

Type in the title of the site

Locale

Specify the language of your site.

Articles per page

Select the number of articles that are displayed per page.

(only on Blog style)

Domain

Enter the name of the subdomain. The domain is always your-subdomain.helpspace-docs.io.

Custom Domain

Change the domain to your personal domain. It requires DNS settings. Contact your domain provider to create a CNAME.

Site Url

Public link to your doc pages

Specify the language of your site.

If you want to display information from another website inside an iFrame, then you have an external website address to give the permission.

Configure multilingual options for your Docs page.

Description

Default Locale

Specify the default language of the page.

Translatable and Published Languages

Enter additional languages in which the page should be translated.

  • Disabled languages will not be displayed on the frontend. This is ideal for preparing a translation.

  • Enabled languages will be displayed on the frontend.

This feature is only available on certain plans.

Logo

Upload your personal logo.

Logo Link

Enter a URL. When a user clicks on the logo then the link opens.

Logo Alt Text

Alternative text, if the logo cannot be displayed

Favicon

Upload your favicon.

Touch Icon

Upload the touch icon that will be used for mobile phones and tablets.

Header Background Color

The header is the top part of the page. Select your background color.

Header Text Color

The header is the top part of the page. Select your text color.

Show search bar

Activate it to display the search on the website

Search Input Background Color

Select the background color of your search input at your public doc website.

(deactivated on Blog style)

Search Input Text Color

Select the text color of your search input at your public doc website.

(deactivated on Blog style)

Body Background Color

The body is underneath the header. Choose your background color.

Body Link Color

The body is underneath the header. Choose your hyperlink color.

Enable Shadows

Show or hide shadows at the search input, category boxes, and article boxes

Restore All Default Colors

Delete your personal setting and set it back to default

Custom CSS

This is an advanced feature. Click on show to display Custom CSS. Add your style sheets to customize.

Insert between <head></head>

This is an advanced feature. Click on show to display Insert between.

Write a welcome text.

Headline

Enter a headline text

Enter a subtitle text

Options

Switch various functions on or off. The functions are available depending on the style.

Show creator on article

Show or hide the creator on the article level.

Show or hide the creators on the category level.

Show article rating form

At the bottom of an article, the user can do a rating. Show or hide the rating.

Show article rating

User's rates articles. Show or hide the results.

Show Collapsed Menu

Click in the category to display the articles. If you change the category, all other categories will be minimized.

(only on Documentation style)

Use Turbo-Load (Experimental)

Loads content without page refresh. Browser history-back is turned off.

(only on Documentation style)

Show random articles on main page

Display some random articles on the bottom of the main page.

(only on Blog style)

SEO

Meta fields are important for search engines. They are displayed in the search results, e.g. Google.

Add an image that will be displayed if you post a link to your Docs site

X (Twitter) Card Image

Add an image that will be displayed if you post on X (Twitter) a link to your Docs site

Allow RSS feeds

Offer RSS feeds for your Docs articles

Allow search engines to list this site

Enable to generate a sitemap for search engines

Hey Google, please check my sitemap

Sends a request to Google to check changes

Menu on Top

You can add links to the website. They are displayed at the top. You can link your website, for example.
